Africa Cricket Club started this year's UCA National Men's League title by blowing hot and cold.  But along the way, it is now a totally different script for the oldest club in Uganda.

Having failed to qualify for the top flight since 2011, they are, apparently having a date with destiny this campaign.

After eleven games, Sylvester Rhokani's side have reached 39 points, third on the log, separated by 8 points from second-placed Avengers a side they defeated by 1 wicket Sunday at Budo oval.

Hamza Mehmood and Utkash Katheri launched Avengers' attack with two relatively scoring innings reaching 30 runs from 67 balls and 21 runs off 48 balls.

Meanwhile, Joanathan Kiiza's bowling spell made quite the difference for the ACC who held on tight for 34 overs. Kiiza picked 4 wickets as Avengers were all out for 149.

The trio of Quraish Kasujja 34 from 24 balls, Gaddaffi Jjunju 18 off 34 balls and Robin Turinawe 18 from 13 balls kept the scoreboard moving.

Although they won, Africa Cricket Club was not close to convincing maneuverers but nonetheless, it is the points you get that matter at this stage of the competition.
